I’m afraid of loosing my parents.

Though I do not voice this thought very often, one of my biggest fear is not being able to see my parents ever again. Everyday I struggle with the reality of knowing that as I grow older, wiser, stronger everyday, they are also slowly weakening because of old age. I love my parents more than anything and I know I am extremely lucky to have them both in my life. I want them to be able to watch me grow up and become a successful adult just as they hope I would be. I want them to be with me when I start my own family and I don’t want my children to grow up without knowing the love of their beloved grandparents. I don’t know what I would do if my parents were taken away from me so suddenly and I honestly cannot imagine how hard life would be without them. I hate just watching my parents grow old, knowing that our time together is limited.

I don’t know why, but when I’m deleting my old messages, it feels like I’m deleting my memories. Funny moments, sweet moments, stupid moments, etc. Kind of like I’m erasing the evidence.

Juno Spacecraft will carry Legos

NASA’s Jupiter-bound Juno spacecraft will carry the 1.5-inch likeness of Galileo Galilei, the Roman god Jupiter and his wife Juno to Jupiter when the spacecraft launches this Friday, Aug. 5. The inclusion of the three mini-statues, or figurines, is part of a joint outreach and educational program developed as part of the partnership between NASA and the LEGO Group to inspire children to explore science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

The launch period for Juno opens Aug. 5 and extends through Aug. 26. For an Aug. 5 liftoff, the launch window opens at 8:34 a.m. PDT (11:34 a.m. EDT) and remains open through 9:43 a.m. PDT (12:43 p.m. EDT). The spacecraft is expected to arrive at Jupiter in 2016. The mission will investigate the gas giant’s origins, structure, atmosphere and magnetosphere. Juno’s color camera will provide close-up images of Jupiter, including the first detailed glimpse of the planet’s poles.
